Sometimes I get so caught up in food I forget to write in our blog. Here is a short article to refresh your eye balls. Every time you turn around it seems like something we love to eat is bad for you. Is it really bad for us or is it the food companies trying to control our diet and make more money. At one time eggs were supposed to be bad for us and now they are a great weight loss food. The Government can't seem to make up their minds about what foods we should and should not eat. Smoked foods are supposed to cause cancer, but all the BBQ places around here are booming. I think a lot of this is all hype to scare you into eating what ever makes them the most money. I all boils down to money and not our health. I say eat what you want but do it in moderation and get some exercise. Drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated and flush out toxins. Nuwave cooktop

We bought a nuwave induction cooktop to see if it really measures up to all the hype. It was purchased at a pallet store and was missing the pan. After trying a few different pans, the good old fashioned cast iron skillet worked just fine. The instructions say you can use any skillet or pot that has a iron or steel bottom. Use a magnet to be sure it is compatible, but for my money I like cast iron. Check out the video for the results. Nuwave Video

Strawberry koolaid pie

The Dude is making a strawberry koolaid pie using 3 ingredients and approx 5 minutes prep time. This recipe is a great one for people who want a tasty dessert but are short on time. All you need is a 9" graham cracker crust,can of condensed milk,tub of cool whip and a pack of strawberry koolaid. Mix all the ingredients together with an electric mixer and spoon into crust. Put in refrigerator for a few hours to chill and enjoy. You can also garnish it with your favorite fruits for a healthy snack. Check out our video. Food Dude Video Click Here

Deep Fried Panana Sandwich

Did you ever think you could take peanut butter and banana, put them on bread and deep fry them. Well think no more because that is what we have done. First we make a chocolate raspberry dipping sauce, then a dipping batter, spread the peanut butter banana mixture on bread, dip it in the batter mix, and deep fry it till it is golden brown. After it is done we sprinkle it with powdered sugar, dip it in the chocolate raspberry sauce and enjoy. Check out our video for more info. Food Dudes Video is Here
